At The Good Art Studio, we professionally scan 35mm negatives, film strips, and slides — in colour or black & white — capturing every detail with clarity. Using advanced technology to remove dust and scratches, we create high-quality digital files ready for stunning Giclée prints, so your memories and images can live on beautifully in print.
Film & Slide Scanning Services
At The Good Art Studio, we offer a specialist scanning service for 35mm negatives, film strips, and slides — in both colour and black & white. Whether it’s a full roll or a strip with just two frames, we can carefully digitise your film to preserve and reproduce your images with outstanding clarity.
The final results depend on the quality of the original negative, and while every frame is handled individually, we typically recommend limiting Giclée prints from 35mm scans to a maximum size of 16″ x 10″ for the best results.
Each file is scanned by hand, with colour correction applied where needed. We also use ICE technology to reduce dust and scratches, ensuring your images are reproduced as cleanly as possible.
For 35mm slides, we offer two resolution options:
1200 dpi – perfect for standard reproductions.
4800 dpi – a high-resolution option, producing larger files (around 20 MB) and allowing for bigger, more detailed prints.
