Do You Want A Border?

If you select a white border, it’s printed within your chosen size, the paper size stays the same. For example, an A3 print with a white border still measures A3 overall, with your artwork reduced slightly to fit the border. If you select “no border”, your image will print full bleed, right to the edges of the paper

Giclée Prints on Hahnemühle Photo Pearl

Hahnemühle Photo Pearl 310gsm is a premium resin-coated photographic paper ideal for high-quality, professional prints. Its bright white base enhances colour vibrancy and contrast, while the subtle pearl finish reduces glare compared to gloss, creating a beautifully balanced, refined surface.

 

The result is sharp detail, rich tones, and images that feel vibrant without being overly reflective — perfect for photography and digital artwork.

With a slightly heavier weight, Photo Pearl offers a reassuring, high-quality feel, giving your prints presence and durability.

At The Good Art Studio, we print using a 12-colour pigment ink system, ensuring smooth tonal gradation, accurate colour reproduction, and consistent, gallery-quality results every time.

Artwork & Sizing

Artwork Specification

We can work with a wide variety of artwork, image and file types.

Ideal specification:

  1. High quality image (resolution of 300-600dpi)
  2. Sized and cropped at the final print size that is required.
  3. Adobe RGB Colour Space.
  4. Include any borders on the image that you require.
  5. Image should be flattened if you have layers.
  6. Saved as a jpg, pdf, png or tiff file format.

Please note, our Canon 12 colour fine art printers are maintained, profiled and calibrated regularly. However, the colours may appear different from what you see on your screen or from prints that have been produced by other print service providers or other printing processes. We can provide a chargeable printed proof if required and recommend this should you have any concerns about colour reproduction.

As standard we add a white border to our prints. However, if you prefer no border, you can specify that in the order notes.

White borders are popular in giclee printing as they are useful for framing and also signing and numbering limited edition prints.

We can help re-size your artwork for the print size you order.

We will check your artwork is the correct ratio and make sure it fits well on the paper size selected.

If your artwork is a different ratio to the ordered size, we will be able to make a custom sized print at the closest size to the ordered size.
